Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer for a global supplier based in Hinckley. The role focuses on planned and reactive maintenance across the site, with responsibilities for pumps, motors, compressors and pipelines.

You will work Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, with training, overtime, and a yearly bonus. The company offers free on-site parking and monthly incentives, and the salary ranges from £37,000 to £42,000.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and fault-find vehicle electrical systems and aftermarket accessories.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and vehicle schematics.
• Carry out electrical testing and diagnostics using specialist equipment and OBD scanners.
• Perform planned and reactive maintenance; respond to breakdowns.
• Attend head office to collect parts; Mon–Fri, 8–5.
• Travel to customers across Lancashire.

Are you a Mechanically Biased Maintenance Engineer, who holds good electrical knowledge, looking to work for a global supplier?

On offer is the opportunity to join a well-established, family run company, operating since 1983. They supply a wide range of traditional and next-generation refrigerants and associated products across the refrigeration, air-conditioning and automotive markets, with its products reaching customers across more than 40 countries.

You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across the site, responding to breakdowns, diagnosing faults and completing effective repairs.

In specifics, you will work on pumps, motors, compressors and pipelines whilst also completing other general maintenance activities.

The suitable candidate will have experience working as a mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer with solid electrical knowledge.

The Role
