Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer in Hinckley to perform planned and reactive site maintenance, fault finding and repairs on motors, pumps, compressors, and pipelines. You will work Monday–Friday, 8–5, at the head office for parts and travel to customer locations across Lancashire.

The ideal candidate has prior maintenance engineering experience with solid mechanical skills and electrical knowledge, and holds a relevant engineering

Qualifications

• Experience as a Maintenance Engineer or similar.
• Strong mechanical skills with electrical knowledge.
• Relevant engineering qualification.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and fault-find vehicle electrical systems and aftermarket accessories.
• Carry out electrical testing and diagnostics using specialist equipment and OBD scanners.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and vehicle schematics.
• Monday to Friday, 8-5, attend the head office each morning to collect parts.
• Travelling to customers across Lancashire.

Are you a Mechanically Biased Maintenance Engineer, who holds good electrical knowledge, looking to work for a global supplier?

On offer is the opportunity to join a well-established, family run company, operating since 1983. They supply a wide range of traditional and next-generation refrigerants and associated products across the refrigeration, air-conditioning and automotive markets, with its products reaching customers across more than 40 countries.

You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across the site, responding to breakdowns, diagnosing faults and completing effective repairs.

In specifics, you will work on pumps, motors, compressors and pipelines whilst also completing other general maintenance activities.

The suitable candidate will have experience working as a mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer with solid electrical knowledge.

The Role
