Job summary

Auxtronic Ltd. in Hinckley is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a regular Monday–Friday dayshift role. You will perform electrical and mechanical maintenance across a range of production equipment, diagnose faults, and drive improvements in plant reliability while mentoring an apprentice.

The role offers a supportive engineering team, ongoing site investment, and a clear path to ownership of maintenance activities within a stable, growing UK-based operation.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds, NVQ or BTEC Level 3 in Electrical, Mechanical or Multi-Skilled Engineering, ideally gained through a recognised apprenticeship.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding ability.
• Comfortable working independently within a hands-on maintenance role.

Responsibilities

• Carry out both electrical and mechanical maintenance across a wide range of production and process equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults and return machinery to production with minimal downtime.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and routine inspections.
• Maintain pumps, motors, valves, pipework, pressure systems, conveyors and other industrial process equipment.
• Support machinery upgrades, site improvement projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor and develop the site's engineering apprentice.
• Work closely with production to maximise equipment reliability and plant performance.

Maintenance Engineer (Days)

Location: Hinckley

Commutable from: Nuneaton, Bedworth, Coventry, Leicester, Lutterworth, Rugby, Atherstone, Market Bosworth, Coalville, Tamworth and Earl Shilton.

Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Starting Salary: £40,000 - £42,000 P/A

Realistic Earnings: Circa £45,000 P/A (Bonus & Occasional Overtime)

Auxtronic is partnered with a long-established manufacturer operating in the gas processing and industrial engineering sector. Based at their Hinckley facility, the business supplies customers across the UK and internationally as part of a financially secure international group. Their market is going through a period of sustained growth, and the site continues to see investment in its plant and equipment.

Entry Requirements

Qualifications: City & Guilds, NVQ or BTEC Level 3 in Electrical, Mechanical or Multi-Skilled Engineering, ideally gained through a recognised apprenticeship.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer within Manufacturing, Industrial Processing, Utilities, Chemical, Recycling, Packaging or Heavy Industry.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding ability.
• Comfortable working independently within a hands-on maintenance role.
