Job summary

Orion Electrotech in Wolverhampton is recruiting a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to join the engineering team in a heavy industrial setting. This role focuses on electrical maintenance across site machinery, with a bias toward electrical fault finding and reliability.

You will perform reactive and planned maintenance, install and improve production equipment, and support mechanical maintenance when needed. Overtime is available, with an on-call rota and weekend hours; sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• Electrically qualified with Level 3 or equivalent.
• Multi-skilled background with strong electrical fault-finding abilities.
• Experience in manufacturing, production, or heavy engineering environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive and planned preventative maintenance across site machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimise downtime.
• Perform installation and improvement works on production equipment.
• Support mechanical maintenance activities when required.

Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Maintenance Engineer Package:
Salary: Up to £45k
Location: Wolverhampton

NO SPONSORSHIP

Shift Pattern:
Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:30

Overtime:

• Overtime available during planned plant shutdowns
• Alternate weekend working (typically 5-6 hours on Saturdays)
• On-call rota of 1 in 3 weeks
• Overtime rates:
• 1.2x Monday-Friday
• 1.5x Saturday
• 2x Sunday
