Qualifications

• Engineer with relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND, or equivalent).
• Experience in a similar role such as multi-skilled engineer, shift engineer, or electrical maintenance engineer.
• Strong experience in an FMCG or similar fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Reactive maintenance and breakdown response on machinery.
• Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Maintain accurate maintenance records.

We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join a well‑renowned FMCG manufacturer in Leicester. You'll be responsible for ensuring minimal downtime across all production equipment, responding swiftly to breakdowns and carrying out planned maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Reactive maintenance and breakdown response on machinery
• Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Fault finding on mechanical and electrical systems
• Work closely with production teams to ensure smooth operation
• Maintain accurate maintenance records

Requirements

• Engineer with relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND, or equivalent)
• Experience in a similar role such as multi‑skilled engineer, shift engineer, shift technician, engineering technician or electrical maintenance engineer
• Strong experience in an FMCG, food or similar fast‑paced manufacturing environment
• Confident with mechanical and electrical fault finding
• Ability to work independently
