Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

£38,000 – £40,000 | Monday–Friday | Days

Are you a hands‑on Maintenance Engineer who enjoys keeping machinery running smoothly and taking ownership of your work? This is a great opportunity to join a well‑established site where engineering expertise is valued and progression is encouraged.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for ensuring the continuous operation of site equipment and machinery, responding to breakdowns, and carrying out planned preventative maintenance. This is a practical role with real responsibility and variety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to mechanical breakdowns and assist with machine adjustments
  • Diagnose and repair faults efficiently
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance
  • Maintain and improve building fabric
  • Keep the workshop clean, organised, and tools controlled
  • Complete all relevant documentation accurately
  • Liaise with managers to help implement and uphold site procedures
  • Deputise for the Chief Engineer when required, including basic clerical duties
♂️ About You
  • A hands‑on Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias (up to 70/30)
  • Qualified in Engineering (electrical or mechanical background considered)
  • Motivated, reliable, and takes pride in their work
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Open to candidates from a wide range of backgrounds, including non‑UK and Forces
⏰ Shift Pattern
  • Monday to Friday
  • 4:00am – 12:00pm
  • 37.5 hours per week
