Security Service Engineer - Kent & Sussex

Locations: Kent & Sussex
Salary: Up to £42,000 (DOE)

Overview

Following a significant utility contract win, we are expanding our field engineering team and are looking for experienced Security Service Engineers to join us. We specialise in protecting critical national infrastructure, delivering high-quality service, maintenance, and support of electronic security systems across the South East. This role is ideal for engineers who have worked in the Fire & Safety industry and are now looking to build on their transferable skills within the security sector.

The Role

As a Security Service Engineer, you will play a key part in the service, maintenance, and repair of electronic security systems, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and service-level agreements (SLAs). You will work closely with both our clients and our support team to deliver exceptional service and maintain high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service, maintenance, and fault-finding on:
    • CCTV Systems (IP & Analogue)
    • Access Control Systems
    • Intruder Alarm Systems
  • Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive callouts.
  • Accurately record work using our service management system (CASH).
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and manufacturer requirements.
  • Provide clear, professional client communication on-site.
  • Support asset data collation and make recommendations for system improvements.
  • Participate in the on-call rota (as required).
About You
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in electronic security OR a background in Fire & Safety systems with transferable skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge of CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems.
  • Experience with IP-based security solutions is highly desirable.
  • Solid problem-solving and diagnostic ability.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Confident working independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
