Job summary

Places for People are recruiting a Maintenance Controller to proactively manage maintenance across a portfolio of properties in Bath. The role is based on site, with hybrid working after an initial training period (3 days at home). The FTC runs until February 2026, reporting to the Operations Manager.

Key duties include triaging issues to the correct contractor, coordinating with tenants, landlords and the client, and ensuring supplier invoices are paid promptly. A Basic DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Property management experience preferred but training will be provided.
• Strong customer service background.
• Comfortable using various IT packages.
• Track record of working with multiple stakeholders.

The role is FTC until February 2026.

We are looking to recruit a Maintenance Controller on a Fixed Term basis basis. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this is a great opportunity to join a growing area of the business.

This role is based on site at Touchstone Bath. The working hours are Monday to Thursday 9am – 5.30 and Friday 9am – 5pm. After an initial period of training (1 month) this role offers hybrid working (3 days at home).

More about your role

You will have to proactively manage the Maintenance aspect of a portfolio of properties ensuring that client, company and statutory requirements are always met. You ensure that all maintenance issues are triaged in a timely manner to the correct contractor who is responsible for rectifying the problem

Part of your role will involve you liaising with tenants, contractors, landlords and the client to ensure queries are completed promptly and efficiently and to pay suppliers invoices promptly.

More about you
