We are seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our dedicated maintenance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring our school site is safe, well‑maintained, and presented to the highest standard. Working under the direction of the Maintenance Co‑ordinator, you will complete a range of maintenance tasks as requested, both through direct instruction and via the school’s online ticketing system.
This is a varied, hands‑on role that involves all aspects of carpentry and general maintenance around the school site. You will also assist other members of the maintenance team when needed, report any defects or damage discovered during your work, and ensure that all tools and equipment are used and maintained safely. Ensuring a high standard of workmanship is a key aspect of the role.
Applicants should have demonstrable experience in a range of maintenance skills, particularly carpentry, and ideally hold a relevant qualification such as a City & Guilds or NVQ. The role may require occasionally working outside normal hours, including weekends, to support school events or respond to emergencies.
The hours are: 8.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday
