Job summary

The Fears Watch Company in Bristol is seeking a committed Watch Assembly Technician to join the Operations Department. You will be responsible for assembling our watches, building kits, managing component stock and performing quality control to the highest standards.

The role reports to the Operations Manager, offers a hands-on environment in a fast-paced workshop, and requires meticulous attention to detail, dexterity with small components, and a proactive, team‑oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Assembly Watchmaker or Repair Technician working on luxury watches is essential.
• WOSTEP / BHI diploma or certification is desirable but not essential.
• Interest in watches and how they work; exceptional attention to detail; highly organised and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Timely and efficient assembly of Fears watches in line with Fears quality standards.
• Compile build‑kits of components, ensuring stock transfers are accurately recorded.
• Ensure smooth and time‑efficient assembly of all watches in line with assembly schedule.
• Maintaining a clean and tidy workshop; ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained.
• Quality control of components and final watches; keep QC failure rate below 1%.
• Carry out testing of components including time testing movements and case water resistance.
• Carry out final regulation of watches to match movement specifications.
• Promote customer satisfaction by maintaining aftersales return rate below 1%.
• Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed.
• Maintain clear communication with wider Operations Team about quality concerns or delays.
• Monitor inventory of spare parts and consumables; communicate needs to Operations Assistant.
• Maintain accurate stock records and record stock transfers during assembly and servicing.
