Job summary

The Fears Watch Company is seeking a dedicated Watch Assembly Technician to join the Operations Department at the Bristol head office. You will assemble watches, support workshop operations, prepare build kits, manage component stock and ensure quality control throughout the assembly process.

Role reports to the Operations Manager and requires attention to detail, dexterity with small parts, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, rewarding environment. Hours are Monday–Friday, 9am–6pm.

Qualifications

• Experience assembling and handling movement exchanges on mechanical and quartz watches.
• High attention to detail with steady hands and accuracy.
• Desirable formal watchmaking training (WOSTEP/BHI).

Responsibilities

• Assemble watches accurately and in line with quality standards.
• Prepare build kits and manage component stock transfers.
• Maintain clean, orderly workshop and properly service tools.
• Perform QC on components and finished watches to minimise defects.
• Test movements, water resistance, and final regulation to specifications.
• Maintain inventory records and communicate needs to the team.
