Job summary

A specialist education provider in Chelmsford is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work with children who have a variety of special needs. This full-time role requires a passion for aiding children and a friendly, positive attitude. no prior experience is required, but training in First Aid and Manual Handling would be advantageous. Candidates should be available to work 5 days a week, and the role may potentially be made permanent. A DBS check is needed for all applicants.

Protocol Education are looking to recruit a learning support assistant/teaching assistant to join a specialist school in Chelmsford.

You will be joining a great team that predominantly work with children who have a variety of special needs, including MLD, SLD, ASD and PMLD. Therefore, a desire to assist in this area is required, but no experience is necessary!

Training in First Aid, Manual Handling, Hoist and Medicine Administration would be desirable.

A friendly and positive approach to teaching and learning, as well as the ability to quickly build up strong relationships and rapport with individual children is important.

This is a long‑term, full‑time position so we are looking for candidates to be available 5 days a week between the hours of 8:30am-15:30pm.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
