Job summary

A recruitment agency for educational support in the UK is seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to work with young adults who have autism and other needs. The role requires at least 6 months of experience in similar support roles, ability to follow educational plans, and strong relationship-building skills. Qualifications

Learning Support Assistant - College - Poole, Dorset.

SENCare Recruitment are currently working on behalf of a college, that is seeking experienced teaching assistants to support young adults who have autism, mild and profound needs and SEMH.

Start: ASAP

Duration: 5 days a week - ongoing.

Hours: 8.30am - 4.30pm

The ideal teaching assistant
  • will have at least 6 months experience supporting students with autism, social emotional mental health difficulties, some profound needs.
  • experience supporting students aged16-25
  • able to follow students ECHPs
  • experienced with ASD, PMLD, SEMH, trauma, sensory processing, and social communication teaching background
  • the ability to build strong and meaningful relationships with vulnerable students
  • have a clear DBS registered to the update service - child and adult checked.
