Job summary

XPO Logistics in Daventry is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead a site team in a busy transport/logistics operation. You will ensure compliance with policies, manage the contract team, and drive safety and performance.

The role requires strong people management, CPC qualification, and a hands-on approach in a high-pressure environment. The package includes 25 days holiday, pension, and other employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Experience in Transport/Distribution/3PL environment.
• Proven people management and leadership capabilities.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-moving transport operation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all colleagues on site adhere to XPO policies and procedures.
• Support safety and compliance obligations with a strong emphasis on safety.
• Oversee fleet compliance as O licence holder for the site.
• Drive sustainable delivery solutions and carbon-neutral initiatives.
• Lead the contract team, set objectives, and coach the team.
• Manage time to ensure safe and efficient service.
• Maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and payments for work performed.
• Assist in monthly invoicing and revenue protection.
