XPO Logistics in Crick, UK, is seeking an Account Director to own a portfolio of strategic transport-focused customer accounts. You will lead across contracts and act as senior contact for customers and operations.

You will develop long-term partnerships, drive commercial performance, lead teams to deliver service excellence, and identify opportunities to enhance value through XPO solutions.

• Proven experience managing large, complex logistics or transport contracts at a senior management level.
• Strong background in strategic account management and customer relationship leadership.
• Experience overseeing multi-site or multi-contract transport operations.
• Strong commercial understanding with responsibility for budgets, profitability and contractual performance.
• Operational knowledge of transport management and service delivery.
• Track record of building trusted relationships with customers at senior level.
• Leadership of high-performing operational teams through influence and collaboration.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customer stakeholders, acting as the senior point of contact across your account portfolio.
• Lead the strategic account management agenda, ensuring customer satisfaction, retention and growth opportunities are maximised.
• Provide leadership and oversight across multiple transport operations, ensuring service, safety and compliance standards are met.
• Work with operational teams to drive performance, continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Lead regular customer reviews with insights, performance updates and strategic recommendations.
• Ensure contract KPIs, service commitments and financial targets are achieved or exceeded.
• Identify opportunities to enhance customer value through innovation and wider XPO solutions.
• Take ownership of contract profitability, budgets and overall commercial performance.

We're looking for an Account Director to take ownership of a portfolio of strategic transport-focused customer accounts. You'll provide leadership across multiple contracts, acting as the senior point of contact for both our customers and operational teams.

This role is about far more than day-to-day operations. You'll be responsible for developing long-term customer partnerships, ensuring commercial performance, driving continuous improvement and leading teams to deliver exceptional service across your account portfolio.
