Job summary

DPD UK is recruiting an experienced Operations Manager to join our depot management team. You will be responsible for the smooth running of our operation, aiming for excellent customer service while achieving cost, health & safety, security, productivity and transport targets.

You will lead recruitment, development and retention of staff, manage P&L, and seek innovative ways to improve support to the operation.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in logistics, warehouse or distribution.
• Ability to run a fast-paced operation and lead high-performing teams.
• Experience monitoring performance and implementing data-driven improvements.
• Outstanding communication skills to influence strategy.
• Demonstrate the core DPD DNA values of Passion, Respect, Honesty, Flexibility, Caring and Accountability.
• Willingness to cover 5 shifts including some weekends.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the smooth running of depot operations and service delivery.
• Recruit, develop and retain staff; ensure compliance and employee relations processes.
• Manage P&L through planning and reporting.
• Improve overall support to the operation and explore innovative ways of working.
