Job summary

Aramark in Bridgend is recruiting a Logistics Driver for a permanent, full-time role. You will transport hot food trolleys between residential wings and the main kitchen, ensuring security and safety procedures are followed.

The position offers 35 hours per week, shift times 6:30am–4:30pm, free meals on duty, on-site parking, uniform provided, and access to gym and employee benefits. Candidates should hold a Category C1 licence and be able to work in a secure environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Category C1 driving licence required (including automatic C1 entitlement where applicable).
• Ability to work in a secure environment and follow strict procedures.
• Positive, proactive attitude with strong teamwork skills.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Reliable and flexible approach to work.
• Previous logistics, delivery, warehouse, or driving experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Collect hot food trolleys from residential wings each morning using the secure airlock collection process, ensuring all security procedures are followed.
• Safely manoeuvre heavy hot food trolleys, load them onto the delivery vehicle, and transport to the main kitchen.
• Deliver loaded hot food trolleys to residential wings for lunch and evening meals.
• Use radio communication to arrange collections with prison officers.
• Collect empty trolleys after meals and return to the main kitchen.
• Assist with receiving supplier deliveries and check goods against delivery documents.
• Support safe storage and rotation of stock.
• Work appropriately alongside prisoners in kitchen and stores areas.
• Maintain professional boundaries and adhere to site security requirements.
• Follow food safety, health & safety, and operational procedures at all times.

We are currently recruiting for a Logistics Driver to join our team in Bridgend, CF35 6AP. This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy operation where you'll play a key role in transporting food safely across the site while maintaining the highest standards of security, safety, and service.

This is a physically demanding role and is ideal for someone who enjoys being active, working as part of a team, and taking pride in delivering an essential service.
