Job summary

Aramark is hiring a Logistics Driver in Bridgend to transport hot meals safely within a secure site and maintain high standards of safety and service. The role is physically demanding but offers variety and team collaboration.

You will collect and deliver hot food trolleys, follow security procedures, and work closely with prison staff to ensure timely meals, while adhering to food safety and site rules.

Qualifications

• Valid Category C1 driving licence is required (including automatic C1 entitlement where applicable).
• Ability to work in a secure environment and follow strict procedures.
• Positive, proactive attitude with strong teamwork skills.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Reliable and flexible approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Collect hot food trolleys from residential wings using the secure airlock process and follow security procedures.
• Safely manoeuvre heavy trolleys, load onto delivery vehicle and transport to the main kitchen.
• Deliver loaded trolleys to residential wings for lunch and dinner services.
• Use radio to coordinate with prison officers for collections.
• Return empty trolleys after meals and assist with deliveries reception and goods checks.
• Support receiving supplier deliveries and stock rotation.

Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Logistics Driver to join our team in Bridgend, CF35 6AP. This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy operation where you'll play a key role in transporting food safely across the site while maintaining the highest standards of security, safety, and service.

This is a physically demanding role and is ideal for someone who enjoys being active, working as part of a team, and taking pride in delivering an essential service.

What you'll be doing

• Collecting hot food trolleys from residential wings each morning using the secure airlock collection process, ensuring all security procedures are followed
• Safely manoeuvring heavy hot food trolleys, loading them onto the delivery vehicle, and transporting them to the main kitchen
• Delivering loaded hot food trolleys to residential wings for lunch and evening meal services
• Using radio communication to arrange collections with prison officers
• Collecting empty trolleys following meal services and returning them to the main kitchen
• Assisting with receiving supplier deliveries and checking goods against delivery documentation
• Supporting the safe storage and rotation of stock
• Working appropriately alongside prisoners assigned to the kitchen and stores areas
• Maintaining professional boundaries and adhering to all site security requirements
• Following food safety, health & safety, and operational procedures at all times
