Job summary

Galaxy Personnel is seeking a Logistics Agent in Bury St Edmunds for a maternity cover. You will support site management to maintain compliance, inventory accuracy, and efficient transport operations, with a Monday-Friday training regime and a Tuesday-Saturday post-training shift pattern.

Key duties include placing orders in SAP, handling inbound and outbound calls via Salesforce, performing stock counts, managing purchase orders, and assisting drivers with routes and loading sheets.

Qualifications

• Experience placing orders in SAP for delivery/collection.
• Knowledge of Salesforce for handling customer orders and information.
• Strong stock control and cycle counting abilities.
• Proactive Health & Safety mindset and incident prevention.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a safety-first operation and drive towards an incident free workplace.
• Proactive Health & Safety management via daily walkabouts and identifying observations.
• Raise and process Purchase Orders; maintain correct stock levels.
• Take inbound/outbound calls for orders and queries using Salesforce.
• Receipt stock in/out and enter counts into the system.
• Perform stock counts and ensure accurate stock records.
• Assist drivers with daily runs, loading sheets, and manifests.
• Track drivers via Telematics system.
• General housekeeping.

Logistics Agent (Maternity Cover) Bury St Edmunds

• Salary: £26,228 per year.
• Training Shifts: Monday to Friday.
• Post-Training Shift Pattern: Tuesday to Saturday, 11:00–19:00.

Responsibilities:

• Support site management in achieving compliance obligations, inventory, financial, health and safety, and transport.
• Contribute to a safety-first operation and drive towards an incident free workplace.
• Proactive approach to Health & Safety Management by undertaking site daily walkabouts, identifying Safety Observations, Near Misses and ensuring any actions raised are dealt with in timely fashion.
• Place orders on system for delivery/collection using SAP.
• Take Inbound/outbound calls for customer orders, queries, and general information, utilizing Salesforce programme.
• Receipt stock in/out received in barrels.
• Inventory stock control, complete physical stock counts and be able to enter stock counts onto system.
• Raise and receipt Purchase orders and ensure correct stock levels are maintained.
• Review daily aborts, cancels, and fill returns.
• Support drivers in reviewing daily runs, printing loading sheets and manifests.
• Track our drivers through Telematics system.
