Job summary

Veolia Environmental Services (Uk) Plc is seeking a loader/driver to join our team at Lynnbottom HWR Centre, Isle of Wight. You will predominantly operate a loader with ad hoc driving duties in a 3.5T van, performing heavy lifting and servicing commercial premises across the local area.

You'll complete daily vehicle checks, report defects, and adhere to road traffic laws and health & safety policies while maintaining tachograph compliance and accurate records. A full UK B licence is required.

Qualifications

• Operational manual handling experience with waste or heavy loads.
• Hold a standard car licence (B) and valid driving entitlement.

Responsibilities

• Perform loading/unloading and manual handling of bins and containers.
• Operate a 3.5T van for ad hoc driving duties.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Maintain records including tachograph compliance and defect reports.
• Adhere to road traffic laws and health & safety policies.
• Service commercial premises within coverage area.

Job description

• Moving and repositioning heavy commercial bins and euro containers
• Servicing commercial premises, including shops, businesses and industrial sites
• Completing daily vehicle checks (walkaround checks) and reporting defects
• Adhering to all road traffic legislation and company health & safety policies
• Maintaining accurate records, including driver defect reports and tachograph compliance
• Working across all weather conditions throughout the year

Hours: 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday 645am - 3.15pm (30 mins unpaid lunch)

Location: Lynnbottom Household Waste Recycling Centre,Newport PO30 2PD - covering the Isle of Wight
