Job summary

Veolia in Avonmouth is seeking a driver to join our waste management fleet. You will drive to planned collection locations, load/unload containers, input data in the onboard system, perform daily vehicle checks, and comply with traffic laws.

The role offers £41,000-£43,000 per annum plus Veolia benefits, 48 hours per week, daily meal allowance, and development opportunities. Requires Class 2 license, CPC, Digi Tachograph. On-site in Avonmouth.

Qualifications

• Essential: Class 2 (Cat C) license
• Essential: Up-to-date CPC (Driver CPC)
• Essential: Digi/Tachograph Card

Responsibilities

• Driving to planned collection locations and moving/loading multiple waste containers
• Entering all information into the onboard system and submitting paperwork daily
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks as per driver/operator handbook
• Complying with traffic laws and weight limits for loads
• Maintaining a clean carriageway and cleaning up spills as needed

£5.00 Daily meal allowance - per day worked

Hours: 48 hours per week - Monday to Friday 04.00am - 14:30pm - Saturday mornings on a rota as OT

What you'll be doing;

• Driving to planned collection locations and moving / emptying multiple commercial waste containers
• Ensuring all information is input into the onboard system and all paperwork is kept up to date and submitted daily
• Completing daily checks of the vehicle as per our driver operator handbook
• Complying with all traffic laws and legislation including and weight of loads
• Ensuring that the carriageway is left in a clean condition and any spillages are cleaned up

What we're looking for;

Essential:

• Class 2 (Cat C) license
• Up to date CPC
• Digi / Tachograph Card

Desirable

• Previous waste management experience
