Job summary

Veolia in Basingstoke is seeking a driver to join our waste collection team. You will drive to planned collection locations, move and empty multiple commercial waste containers, and ensure accurate records are entered into the onboard system every day.

You must hold a Class 2 (Cat C) licence with an up-to-date CPC and a Digi/Tachograph card, be able to route work, and comply with all traffic laws and load limits.

• Requires Class 2 (Cat C) licence and Digi Tachograph card.
• CPC up-to-date.
• Ability to route work and follow schedules.
• Compliance with traffic laws and load limits.

Responsibilities

• Drive to planned collection locations and empty multiple commercial waste containers.
• Input all information into the onboard system and submit daily paperwork.
• Complete daily vehicle checks as per operator handbook.
• Comply with traffic laws and load weight regulations.

Salary: £41,429.28 per annum plus Veolia benefits
£5.00 Daily meal allowance
Single person allowance - Earn an extra £41.16 daily when you complete over 110 bins, dependent on route

Hours: 48 hours per week 04:00am - 14:20pm
Required to work 1 in 5 Saturdays

What will you'll be doing;

• Driving to planned collection locations and moving / emptying multiple commercial waste containers.
• Ensuring all information is input into the onboard system and all paperwork is kept up to date and submitted daily.
• Completing daily checks of the vehicle as per our driver operator handbook.
• Complying with all traffic laws and legislation including and weight of loads.

What we’re looking for;

Essential:

• Class 2 (Cat C) licence
• Up to date CPC
• Digi/ Tachograph card
• Able to route work

Desirable:

• Waste Management experience
