Qualifications

• Previous experience in a broadcast, media, or telecommunications environment.
• Knowledge of SMPTE 2110.
• Ability to communicate technical matters to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all of WB Discovery’s channels.
• Manage switching of transmission systems during emergencies.
• Provide input on transmission system reliability to various groups.

Skills

In-depth knowledge of television distribution systems

Working knowledge of digital baseband signals

Troubleshooting and correcting signal quality issues

Excellent oral and written communication abilities

Education

Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
