FirstPort Limited is seeking a Residential Development Manager in Weston-Super-Mare with a live-in arrangement offering rent-free accommodation. The role focuses on high-impact customer service and building safety across a managed development.

The successful candidate will manage daily operations, coordinate contractors, support resident associations, and liaise with families and local services to ensure a safe, welcoming community for residents.

Qualifications

• Customer service focused and responsive to residents' needs.
• Strong communication skills; able to resolve issues efficiently.
• Health & Safety awareness and ability to handle emergencies.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; able to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high profile around the development/office and ensure residents are checked within requirements.
• Perform daily checks to keep the building safe and secure; manage records and data protection; keep communal areas clean and well maintained.
• Oversee contractor work, raise orders, monitor progress and sign off completion.
• Encourage Residents Association and social events to enhance community experience.
• Build links with residents' families, local authorities and health/social care contacts as needed.
• In emergencies, contact the appropriate response team or authorities.
• Assist with sales activities with our partner Retirement Homesearch and welcome new residents.
• Collaborate with the local Development Managers team and travel to meetings as required.
