Job Description

The Mid/ Senior Associate - Real Estate Litigation Group will:

  • Work directly with the Litigation Partner, assisting with all aspects of litigation cases, including client counsel, pleadings, discovery, and trial preparation.
  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, briefs, and legal documents.
  • With the Litigation Partner, represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop case strategies.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable legal standards and regulations.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication and updates.
  • Monitor case progress and manage deadlines effectively.
  • Support business development efforts by contributing to client pitches and proposals, opportunity to be involved in the firm\'s well known podcast and video content!

Location & Eligibility

Candidates must be based in New York/ Tri-State area, able to work from the Midtown office 3 days per week, and have US work authorization now and indefinitely.

The Successful Applicant

The Mid/ Senior Associate - Real Estate Litigation will have demonstrable skills/ qualifications:

  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree and admission to the NY State bar.
  • Ideally 4th-8th year with experience in real estate litigation (preferably construction, co=op/ condo, breach of contract and other related real estate litigation matters), familiarity with court procedures and strong legal writing skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to approach complex problems methodically.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • A proactive attitude and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • The ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
  • An interest in mentoring/ managing Junior Associates would be highly beneficial.
