Job summary

A leading lighting rental company is seeking an Equipment Technician for its Grips department in Hayes, London. The role involves preparing and testing lighting grip equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Ideal candidates will have experience in operations within a warehouse or professional lighting environment, demonstrate a collaborative attitude, and have a passion for customer service. This full-time position offers a shift rotation including one weekend shift per month.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in an operations role within a warehouse or professional lighting environment.
  • Demonstratable experience in testing, maintaining and preparing lighting equipment within a rental house is preferable.
  • Passion for providing excellent customer service, adhering to tight deadlines whilst supplying quality products.
  • Self-motivated and collaborative team player with a positive and solution-oriented attitude.
  • Familiarity with common safety regulations and best practices in the handling and maintenance of electrical equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly prepare and test a wide range of lighting grip equipment.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and carry out first line repairs.
  • Ensure equipment meets safety regulations and internal standards.
  • Facilitate the smooth flow of equipment through the preparation process.
  • Liaise with shift leaders and Head of Departments on equipment issues.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area.
