Job summary
Allianz Engineering Inspection Services is seeking a Lift & Crane Engineer Surveyor to inspect lifts, cranes and handling equipment across customer sites in the UK. You’ll work independently, supported by senior surveyors, and contribute to safe, compliant operations while developing technical expertise within a growing team.
The role offers a generous starting salary with a company car, flexible working options, and ongoing training as part of Allianz’s engineering inspection network.
Qualifications
- Level 3 qualification in a mechanical engineering-related discipline.
- Experience with lifts, cranes, materials handling equipment or similar plant.
- Experience in maintenance, repair, servicing, manufacturing, installation, testing or inspection.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Organised with strong time-management and communication skills.
- Comfortable with digital reporting using tablets/smartphones.
Responsibilities
- Carry out statutory inspections of lifts, cranes, lifting equipment and related plant at customer sites.
- Provide expert guidance for safe and compliant operations.
- Manage your own inspection schedule across your allocated area.
- Build strong customer relationships while working independently.
- Work across industrial, commercial and construction environments.
