Job summary

Allianz Engineering Inspection Services is seeking a Lift & Crane Engineer Surveyor to perform statutory inspections of lifts, cranes, and associated plant across customer sites nationwide. You will apply engineering knowledge to help customers operate safely and stay compliant, while building strong relationships and managing your own inspection schedule.

The role is field-based, requires visiting varied environments, and offers ongoing training, a comprehensive induction, and flexible working

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification (or above) in a mechanical engineering-related discipline.
• Practical engineering experience with lifts, cranes, or materials handling equipment.
• Experience in maintenance, repair, servicing, or inspection environments.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out statutory inspections of lifts, cranes, lifting equipment and related plant across customer sites.
• Work independently across your allocated area and manage your own inspection schedule.
• Provide expert guidance to support safe and compliant operations.
• Build strong customer relationships and contribute to ongoing technical development.
