Job summary

Allianz Engineering Inspection Services is seeking a Lift & Crane Engineer Surveyor to join a nationwide network of engineers. You’ll carry out statutory inspections of lifts, cranes and related equipment across customer sites, applying your engineering knowledge to support safe and compliant operations.

You’ll work independently within your allocated area, supported by experienced peers and training, across varied industrial environments with opportunities for hybrid working and career

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in mechanical engineering (or above).
• Experience with lifts, cranes, materials handling equipment or similar plant.
• Experience in maintenance, repair, servicing, manufacturing, installation, testing or inspection environments.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Competent with tablets, smartphones and digital reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out statutory inspections of lifts, cranes and lifting equipment at customer sites.
• Manage inspection schedules across allocated areas.
• Work independently with customers and build strong relationships.
• Provide guidance to ensure safe, compliant operations.
• Travel to varied industrial, commercial and construction environments.
