Job summary

Allianz Engineering Inspection Services is seeking a Lift & Crane Engineer Surveyor to inspect lifts, cranes, and related equipment across customer sites. You will work independently within a nationwide network, managing your schedule and building strong customer relationships.

Ongoing training and development are provided. This role involves field-based work across industrial, commercial and construction environments, including working at height and varied operational settings.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification or higher in mechanical engineering.
• Experience working with lifts, cranes or similar lifting equipment.
• Experience in maintenance, repair, servicing, manufacturing, installation, testing or inspection.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Comfort using tablets, smartphones and digital reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out statutory inspections of lifts, cranes, lifting equipment, materials handling equipment and associated plant.
• Work independently across allocated area and manage inspection schedule.
• Build strong customer relationships and work with engineers and team leaders.
• Engage in ongoing technical development and training.
