Job summary

Nuffield Health is seeking a part-time Lifeguard in Cheam to help keep our swimming pool and wet-side facilities safe and welcoming. You will be responsible for supervising the pool area, ensuring safety and providing excellent member care, while supporting the team with a positive and proactive attitude.

Candidates must hold an NPLQ or equivalent and be able to provide ongoing training records. The role offers ad-hoc bank shifts with a pay rate of £13.10 per hour and access to our wellness

Qualifications

• As a Lifeguard you must hold an NPLQ or equivalent and provide training records.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm, a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
• Be passionate about customer care and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure pool safety and assist members with swimming pool, spa, sauna and steam room usage.
• Remain attentive and alert at all times.
• Create a friendly, relaxed and professional environment.
• Welcome and support members in using facilities.
• Respond to incidents promptly and follow Pool Safety Guidelines.

Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.

As a Lifeguard at our gym, you'll hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or equivalent and you're able to provide ongoing training records. You have bags of enthusiasm, a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills. Like us, you're passionate about great customer care - and you're a real team player.

As a Lifeguard, you will:

• Help our members stay safe and healthy when using our wet side facilities - the swimming pool, spa, sauna and steam room


• Be attentive and alert at all times


• Create a friendly, relaxed and professional environment


• Welcome and support members when using the facilities


• Pay close attention to safety and respond to any incidents straight away


• Ensure Pool Safety Guidelines are followed at all times
