Job summary

Nuffield Health Taunton Hospital is seeking a Lifeguard to supervise swimming facilities and ensure member safety on a bank/part-time basis in Taunton. The role offers £12.84 per hour, with a focus on delivering excellent customer care in a welcoming environment.

You will hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or equivalent and provide training records, contributing to a safe and supportive gym experience for all members and visitors.

Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability. As a Lifeguard at our gym, you’ll hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or equivalent and you’re able to provide ongoing training records. As a Lifeguard, you will:

• Help our members stay safe and healthy when using our wet side facilities – the swimming pool, spa, sauna and steam room
• Be attentive and alert at all times
• Create a friendly, relaxed and professional environment
• Welcome and support members when using the facilities
• Pay close attention to safety and respond to any incidents straight away
• Ensure Pool Safety Guidelines are followed at all times
