Job summary

Nuffield Health Taunton is seeking a Lifeguard for bank (ad-hoc) shifts at our gym. You will protect members across the wet side facilities and maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

Candidates must hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or equivalent and provide ongoing training records. A proactive, team-driven attitude and commitment to excellent customer care are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or equivalent.
• Demonstrates strong customer care and teamwork.
• Able to maintain focus and safety on poolside at all times.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pool area to ensure member safety and wellbeing.
• Be attentive and alert at all times while on duty.
• Create a friendly, professional environment for members.
• Welcome and support members using facilities.
• Respond promptly to incidents and enforce Pool Safety Guidelines.

Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.

As a Lifeguard at our gym, you’ll hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or equivalent and you’re able to provide ongoing training records. As a Lifeguard, you will:

• Help our members stay safe and healthy when using our wet side facilities – the swimming pool, spa, sauna and steam room

• Be attentive and alert at all times

• Create a friendly, relaxed and professional environment

• Welcome and support members when using the facilities

• Pay close attention to safety and respond to any incidents straight away

• Ensure Pool Safety Guidelines are followed at all times
