Job summary

Nuffield Health in Doncaster is seeking a Lifeguard for our gym on an ad-hoc bank basis. You will help keep members safe and provide great customer care while using the pool, spa, sauna and steam room.

You must hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or equivalent, bring energy and teamwork, and be willing to learn. The role offers £12.84 per hour and access to our staff benefits, including a pension and gym discounts.

Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability. As a Lifeguard at our gym, you’ll hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or equivalent and you’re able to provide ongoing training records. You have bags of enthusiasm, a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills. Like us, you’re passionate about great customer care – and you’re a real team player.

As a Lifeguard, you will:

• Help our members stay safe and healthy when using our wet side facilities – the swimming pool, spa, sauna and steam room
• Be attentive and alert at all times
• Create a friendly, relaxed and professional environment
• Welcome and support members when using the facilities
• Pay close attention to safety and respond to any incidents straight away
• Ensure Pool Safety Guidelines are followed at all times
