Job summary

Ecolab is seeking a Business Development Manager (m/f/d) for the Life Sciences market in Northern UK, ideally based near Leeds. You will drive new customer acquisition, manage pipelines, and develop strategic sales plans for Global manufacturers in Pharmaceutical and Personal Care industries.

We value a consultative sales approach, 6+ years of technical sales experience, and willingness to travel within the UK.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
6+ years in technical or outside sales with a consultative approach.
Industry experience in Personal Care/industrial environments preferred.
Willingness to travel within the UK.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Fluent in English; analytical, proactive and hands-on.
Project management, organizational and planning skills.

Responsibilities

Drive new customer acquisition with a hunter approach to expand market presence in cosmetic industries.
Manage significant deal volume and target account pipelines.
Develop and execute strategic sales plans, targeting prioritized opportunities.
Respond to inbound lead generation and close new accounts.
Leverage knowledge of the UK pharmaceutical industry to establish credibility with stakeholders.
Conduct market research to identify trends and competitors.
Provide timely, accurate sales forecasts to inform management decisions.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to win new business.
Attend industry seminars, trade shows and conferences to generate leads.
