Job summary

Lake Chemicals & Minerals Ltd is seeking a dedicated Business Manager to lead and expand the UK life science sales portfolio. The role focuses on developing about 50 key accounts, creating an opportunity bank of 100–200 opportunities, and driving at least £550k gross margin within the business unit.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of UK and global pharmaceutical pipeline, APIs, excipients and drug delivery markets.
• Educated to degree level or equivalent.
• Demonstrate sales experience in a B2B environment.
• Proven experience as a Business Manager/Account Manager in Life science Industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop ca. 50 Key accounts.
• Build an opportunity bank of between 100 – 200 opportunities.
• Drive a minimum £550k gross margin for the business unit.
• Manage existing accounts portfolio.
• Communicate with major customers on a regular basis and respond to specific queries.
• Suggest solutions and innovative ideas to meet customer needs.
• Act as the liaison between key customers and internal teams.
• Identify and approach new potential strategic customers.
• Develop relationships with suppliers of all key product groups.
• Obtain marketing information.
• Ensure adequate UK stock.
• Communicate with supplier partners (reports, sales figures, market information, product development).
• Cultivate new supplier partners.
