Job summary

Howden in Gloucester offers Life & Income Protection Insurance Apprenticeship Programme 2027. You will join in September 2027 in a permanent role while completing an 18-month development programme.

Office-based with early training 3-4 days per week, commuting distance required, and a Level 3 Insurance apprenticeship. You will gain real experience, qualify professionally, and receive a competitive £23,000 salary plus benefits.

Qualifications

• No prior insurance experience required; we’ll teach you everything you need to know.
• Eligible candidates must have the full right to work in the UK and have lived in the UK for at least 3 years.
• Must have GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or higher.
• Not already holding a qualification that overlaps with this apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Learn insurance basics and customer service through hands-on experience and structured training.
• Work with experienced advisors to assess customer requirements and recommend appropriate protection solutions.
• Build rapport with customers and understand medical history to tailor advice.
• Keep accurate client records across multiple systems.
• Deliver excellent service and handle telephone conversations professionally and empathetically.
