Job summary

Howden is offering a Life & Income Protection Insurance Apprenticeship Programme in Gloucester starting September 2027. The role begins in a permanent position while completing an 18-month development programme.

Office days are initially 3–4 per week, reducing to 2 days as training completes, with a Level 3 Insurance apprenticeship. Eligibility includes UK right to work, 3 years UK residency, GCSE English/Maths grade C/4, and no overlapping qualifications.

Qualifications

• No prior insurance experience required; training provided.
• Ability to handle sensitive conversations with professionalism and empathy.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Detail-oriented and capable of following processes accurately.

Responsibilities

• Learn the foundations of insurance and customer service through structured training.
• Support advisors in assessing customer requirements and recommending protection solutions.
• Maintain accurate client records across systems and deliver high-quality service.
• Develop rapport with customers and understand background and medical history.
