Stride Resource Management Ltd, fully remote in the UK, is seeking a Liability Claims Handler to own an end-to-end caseload of Employers' Liability, Public Liability and commercial liability claims. You will review evidence, assess policy coverage, and decide liability and quantum, negotiating settlements where appropriate.
Work alongside experienced Adjusters to develop technical skills and progress toward field-based adjusting within a supportive, established claims operation.
This is a fully remote Liability Claims Handler position within a substantial UK claims operation, dealing with a varied portfolio of EL, PL, personal liability and commercial liability losses. You will manage claims through to settlement under delegated authority, while working alongside experienced Liability Adjusters where matters become more complex.
For somebody who enjoys liability claims but wants more technical exposure and a clearer longer-term career path, the role offers a sensible next move without requiring you to leave behind the claims handling experience you have already built.
As a Liability Claims Handler, you will take ownership of your own caseload and manage claims from initial instruction through investigation, liability decision and settlement. The work requires more than progressing files against a process. You will be expected to review evidence, understand policy coverage, make reasoned decisions on liability and quantum, and negotiate settlements where appropriate.
On higher-value or more involved matters, you will work closely with an assigned Liability Adjuster, giving you exposure to more complex claims and the opportunity to develop the technical skills needed to progress towards a field-based adjusting role.
The business has considerable capability across desk and field adjusting, so there is established technical support around you rather than the expectation that you deal with difficult cases in isolation.
The Liability Claims Handler role responsibilities will include:
You will already have experience managing Liability claims rather than simply providing administrative support around them. In particular, you should be comfortable handling EL and PL losses from instruction through to conclusion.
You will need:
A CII qualification or equivalent would be useful, although it is not essential and study support is available.
The attraction here is the combination of scale, technical support and progression. You will be joining a well-established liability claims operation with access to experienced adjusters and specialist resources, while retaining ownership of your own claims.
There is also a defined opportunity to develop towards field-based liability adjusting if that is where you want your career to go. Further professional study is supported, and the wider organisation provides scope to build a longer-term career across different areas of claims and adjusting.
The role is remote, giving you the flexibility to work from home while remaining part of an established UK liability claims team.
If you are an experienced Liability Claims Handler and the role sounds relevant, you do not need to have decided that you are definitely leaving your current employer before getting in touch. A confidential conversation will give you the chance to understand the caseload, progression route and expectations properly before deciding whether it is worth taking any further.
