Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a mainstream Primary School in Abergavenny to recruit a Level 3 Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis starting ASAP. The role involves one-to-one support for children with ALN to help them access learning and engage in class activities.

You should have a Level 3 TA qualification (or equivalent), experience in a Primary setting, and the patience to support learners with diverse needs.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Experience working with children within a Primary School setting
• Experience supporting children with additional learning needs / ALN
• Experience providing one-to-one support
• A patient and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Responsibilities

• Work with children on a one-to-one basis, providing individual support for pupils with ALN
• Help pupils access learning and engage successfully within the classroom
