Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work in a mainstream primary school in Abergavenny. The role is full-time and long-term, starting ASAP, providing one-to-one support for pupils with ALN to access learning and engage in lessons.

Ideal candidates will hold a Level 3 TA qualification, have experience in a primary setting, and demonstrate strong communication to build positive relationships; CPD opportunities and competitive daily rates are offered by TeacherActive.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience working with children within a Primary School setting.
• Experience supporting children with additional learning needs / ALN.
• Experience providing one-to-one support.
• A patient and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support for pupils with ALN.
• Help pupils access learning and engage in class.
