Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work in a mainstream primary school in Abergavenny. The role is full-time and long-term, starting ASAP, providing one-to-one support for pupils with ALN to access learning and engage in lessons.

Qualifications

Salary: £85.50 - £92.63 per day

The school provides an inclusive learning environment where children with a range of needs are supported to develop their confidence, independence and engagement with learning.

The school is looking to take on a Level 3 Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis, starting ASAP. The successful Level 3 Teaching Assistant will work with children on a one-to-one basis, providing individual support for pupils with ALN and helping them access learning and engage successfully within the classroom.

The successful Level 3 Teaching Assistant will have:

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Experience working with children within a Primary School setting
• Experience supporting children with additional learning needs / ALN
• Experience providing one-to-one support
• A patient and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
