Job summary

TeacherActive Limited. in Abergavenny is recruiting an ALN Teaching Assistant for a mainstream primary school. You will provide one-to-one support for a pupil with behavioural needs, helping them regulate behaviour and re-engage with learning across the school day.

The role is full-time and long-term, starting ASAP. The successful candidate will have experience in primary settings and be confident supporting a child both inside and outside the classroom.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a primary school or similar setting.
• Experience supporting children with behavioural needs.
• Experience providing one-to-one support.
• Confident supporting a child inside and outside the classroom.
• Patient and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support for a child with behavioural needs.
• Help the pupil regulate behaviour and re-engage with learning.
• Support access to appropriate activities throughout the day.
• Work within the school to create a positive, inclusive environment.
