Job summary

TeacherActive Limited. in Abergavenny is recruiting an ALN Teaching Assistant for a mainstream primary school. You will provide one-to-one support for a pupil with behavioural needs, helping them regulate behaviour and re-engage with learning across the school day.

The role is full-time and long-term, starting ASAP. The successful candidate will have experience in primary settings and be confident supporting a child both inside and outside the classroom.

Salary: £85.50 - £92.63 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream primary school in Abergavenny that is looking to appoint an ALN Teaching Assistant. The school is seeking a supportive and patient individual who can help provide a positive and inclusive learning environment for a pupil with behavioural needs.

The school is looking to take on an ALN Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis starting ASAP. The successful ALN Teaching Assistant will provide one-to-one support for a child with behavioural needs who may leave the classroom, helping them to regulate their behaviour, re-engage with learning and access appropriate activities throughout the school day.

The successful ALN Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children in a primary school or similar educational setting
• Experience supporting children with behavioural needs
• Experience providing one-to-one support
• Confidence supporting a child both inside and outside of the classroom
• A patient and resilient approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
