Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a mainstream primary school in Monmouthshire. The role is full-time, long-term starting after October half term, based in the dedicated resource base to support children with ALN.

You will assist with learning, help pupils gain independence, and work closely with teachers to create a positive, inclusive classroom. Candidates should have ALN experience, be patient, adaptable and possess strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with ALN
• Experience supporting children within a primary school or similar educational setting
• Confidence working within a resource base
• A patient and supportive approach to working with children
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• An adaptable and positive attitude

Responsibilities

• Support children with ALN in the resource base and engaging with learning activities
• Help pupils develop independence and access appropriate classroom activities
• Collaborate with teaching staff to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
