What skills and experience we're looking for

Hours: 32.5 or 26 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Term Time Only

Contract type: Permanent

Salary: Grade 2 - £24,796 - £26,824 and SEN allowance £1,722 pro rata

Actual: 32.5 hours: £19,304.30 - £20,883.15, 26 hours: £15,443.44 - £16,706.52

Education Impact Academy Trust is a MAT incorporating The Hive College, Wilson Stuart School, Queensbury School and Mayfield School. The Hive College is based in Erdington, Birmingham and is a Specialist Further Education College for learners aged 19-25 years with Special Educational Needs and disabilities. Qualifications

• An NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
• A good level of English and Maths
• A good understanding of how students learn and develop in education
• The ability to support teachers in meeting the needs of all students, including mentoring, pastoral care and assisting with the physical care of students as and when required
• The ability to work with individuals and small groups of students
• Excellent communication and written skills with high expectations of learning and behaviour
• The ability to support students in the classroom and whilst out in the community
