Overview

Jigsaw Pre-School, situated in the heart of Needham Market, is a welcoming and inclusive pre-school dedicated to providing high-quality care and early education for children aged from 18 months. We foster creativity, independence, and a love of learning in a nurturing environment. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Level 2 or 3 Early Years Educator to join our team on a part-time basis. This post is currently for 16 hours per week from 3 November 2025, with hours potentially increasing from January 2026.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all children.
• Observe, assess, and plan appropriate activities to promote each child’s development.
• Work collaboratively with a team of practitioners to maintain high standards of care.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Ensure health and safety guidelines are followed at all times.
• Support children’s emotional, physical, and social development through a range of engaging activities.

What Jigsaw is looking for from the successful candidate

• Level 2 or 3 Early Years Qualification (e.g., NVQ, CACHE, or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework.
• Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
• A passion for early childhood education and development.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• A caring, patient, and enthusiastic attitude.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding training (desirable but not essential).
• We would be willing to consider job share applicants.

Your qualification MUST be full and relevant to work within early years; this does not include any health and social care courses.
