Job summary

Haven is seeking an Activities and Leisure Shift Leader in Tendring to supervise a busy leisure team and ensure smooth operations. You will lead shifts, assign tasks, and deliver excellent guest service while promoting a safe, enjoyable environment across pools and activities.

The role stresses strong leadership, clear communication, and strict safety compliance, with weekend/evening work often required and full training provided, including opportunities for qualifications.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior Lifeguard, Team Leader or Supervisor preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.
• Detail-oriented with emphasis on safety checks and compliance.
• Ability to stay calm and act quickly in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the team by assigning tasks and maintaining flow.
• Provide prompt guest service and address complaints or requests.
• Enforce rules to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment.
• Conduct safety inspections of pool equipment and facilities.
• Supervise and motivate the team to maintain a positive, safe workplace.
• Train new team members on policies and procedures.
• Cover shifts as shift leader when assigned.
