Job summary

Birmingham Community Leisure Trust is seeking a Leisure Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of a busy leisure facility at Northfield Leisure Centre, Birmingham. You will ensure a safe, warm, and welcoming environment for all users while helping deliver commercial growth and high service standards.

The role requires strong leadership, a proactive health and safety mindset, and the ability to analyse performance data to drive continuous improvement.

• Experience in facilities management or a similar operational leadership role.

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the facility to ensure safety, cleanliness and welcoming environment.
• Support the General Manager in delivering commercial growth, performance targets and operational efficiency.
• Build and maintain a strong health and safety culture and ensure compliance with legislation and policies.
• Lead, motivate and develop Duty Manager teams to enable personal growth and high performance.
• Use data and KPIs to monitor performance and drive improvements.
• Develop relationships with customers, stakeholders and the community to support service excellence.

What you’ll do as a Leisure Operations Manager

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the facility, ensuring it is safe, warm, clean, friendly and welcoming for all users
• Support the General Manager in delivering commercial growth, performance targets and operational efficiency
• Build and maintain a strong health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with legislation and organisational policies
• Lead, motivate and develop Duty Manager teams, creating headroom for people to grow and achieve their potential
• Use data and key performance indicators to monitor performance, identify opportunities and create impactful solutions
• Develop strong relationships with customers, stakeholders and the wider community to support service excellence and future growth

• Experience in facilities management or a similar operational leadership role
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage, motivate and develop high-performing teams
• A proactive approach to health and safety with a good understanding of compliance requirements
• Ability to analyse performance data and use insights to drive continuous improvement
