Job summary

Serco Leisure in Maidstone is seeking a Leisure Supervisor to oversee daily activities at Maidstone Leisure Centre. You will ensure safety and high service standards, supervise operations and assist the Duty Manager during absences. The role emphasizes customer care, teamwork and adherence to health and safety guidelines.

You will contribute to a welcoming environment, develop relationships with customers and partners, and help hit operational targets while identifying improvement opportunities.

Leisure Supervisor

Location: Maidstone Leisure Centre, ME15 7RN

Salary: £27,774.28 plus excellent benefits

Schedule: 40 hours per week, flexible to work earlies, lates and weekends, between the hours 6am -10.30pm.

What You’ll Do As a Leisure Supervisor

• Supervise daily activities within the leisure centre, ensuring customer safety and excellent service standards at all times.
• Support the Duty Manager and provide operational cover during periods of absence.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and equipment setup across the facility.
• Promote and follow all health and safety procedures, policies and relevant legislation.
• Build positive relationships with customers and local authority partners, helping to deliver a welcoming environment.
• Support the achievement of operational and performance targets while identifying opportunities for improvement.

Does this sound like you?

• Experience working in a customer-facing environment with a strong commitment to customer care.
• Ability to remain calm, responsive and vigilant in busy or challenging situations.
• Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with people of all ages and abilities.
• A positive, team-focused approach with a willingness to learn and develop.
• National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (or equivalent) and experience in a supervisory role are desirable.

Vetting Checks

An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and any relevant information held by local police, in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and safeguarding requirements. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to allow us to provide any support needed for you to succeed in the role.

Please note, for many of our roles, a DBS check will be required.
